Panagbenga Market Encounter: A Showcase of a Blooming Economy

Perennialy part of Baguio's Panagbenga Flower Festival is the month-long Market Encounter (currently subtitled as 'Baguio Blooms') which is currently setup from February 1 to March 5 at the Juan Luna bike and skateboard area besides Burnham Park's Rose Garden.

Tourists and residents can both buy and see different stalls that offers pasalubong items, pet supplies, clothes and other novelty items. Also sampling the local street food scene in the event are food concessionaires featuring the hallmark shawarma stalls, alongside 'fried ice cream', coffee, and other dining options for shoppers to choose from.

Shawarma is a highlight dish in every Panagbenga Festival,
whether in the Market Encounter or in the Session Road In Bloom showcase.

The Market Encounter also serves as a prequel to the flagship Session Road in Bloom on which will begin on February 27 until March 5, offering a wider range of shopping and dining choices that highlight the diversity and uniqueness of the City.

On its 28th year, the Panagbenga Festival continues the tradition of celebrating new beginnings with the theme: "A Renaissance of Wonder and Beauty". It is organized by the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc., in partnership with the City Government of Baguio, and sponsored by Smart, PLDT Home, Jollibee, Mang Inasal, Coca-Cola, Davies Paints, the Baguio Country Club, GCash and Victory Liner.
